The story
We used SproutWorld pencils both practically and symbolically. Each participant received one upon arrival, and they used them throughout the day for exercises and taking notes.
On stage, we featured both experts and company case studies who shared inspiration and practical ideas. The goal was to gently shift participants’ thinking – so they could take those ideas home and help them grow. That’s why it felt natural to give them something they could literally plant and nurture – not just symbolically, but in a real, tangible way.
This also reflected our commitment to sustainability. Instead of printed programs, we shared a QR code participants could scan to access the program on their phones.
The response was overwhelmingly positive! Several participants described the pencil as a thoughtful detail – something they could plant at home, and which resonated with the day’s content and theme.
Many said they were excited to see their basil sprout – and to start new initiatives in their own workplaces. That’s exactly the kind of impact we hoped to achieve.
