Norway Spruce Tree
The hardy spruce is one of our all-time favorites at SproutWorld. It’s part of our ‘Plant a Tree’ edition and is a prime example of the circular economy – write with a pencil made from a spruce tree, and then plant it at the end of its life to grow another. It’s a very easy tree to grow: start indoors, then move it outside as it gets bigger.
How to use it
This is one of our few plants that you can’t eat – but you can do something else with it! Plant it in your garden when it’s big enough and provide shelter and shade, or keep it in a pot in your house and dress it up as a Christmas tree every December. It’s a great tree to grow and doesn’t need much attention.
