Very easy to sow and grow, it does just as well in herb gardens as it does in windowsill pots. Just plant, water, and place in a sunny spot, and watch it shoot up!
How to use it
This one’s easy too: when your basil plant has grown, just cut off a few leaves to add to salads, soups, or pasta dishes. You can also make it into pesto (just add pine nuts, parmesan, olive oil and garlic) or brew up a refreshing basil tea by steeping its leaves in hot water.
