Here’s a little secret for you: basil is one of the most popular herbs in our SproutWorld pencils, and you don’t need a green thumb to grow it! Very easy to sow and cultivate, it thrives just as well in herb gardens as in pots on windowsills. Simply plant it, water it, and place it in a sunny spot, then watch it grow!
How to use it
This one is just as simple: once your basil plant has grown, simply cut a few leaves to add to salads, soups, or pasta dishes. You can also make pesto (just add pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and garlic) or prepare a refreshing tea by steeping the leaves in hot water.
