Cucumber
This variety is a pickling cucumber. Cucumber plants need space, sun and warmth to grow. They are creepers that can either be grown up supports or trail along the ground. Their long trumpet flowers are bee-friendly. Although they can be eaten raw, we recommend they are pickled before being eaten.

How to use it
There are many ways to pickle cucumbers. The basic recipe involves a brine of white vinegar, sugar, salt and water. You can add aromatics like mustard seeds, peppercorns, chillies, onions, dill, bay leaves and more to taste. Pop them in the fridge and use them in burgers, sandwiches, or for cheese and charcuterie boards.
