What does a Crown Princess and a former American President have in common?
Hint: It’s got to do with a very special pencil.
Have you ever spent hours figuring out, what your company should hand out at the next trade fair, event or conference? Perhaps something eco-friendly that would make you stand out and be remembered afterwards?
Two of our customers, Taylor’s Port and VisitDenmark had the same challenge. They were separately looking for a company giveaway with a sustainable message.
Something original.
Unique.
Eco-friendly.
A conversation starter.
Luckily, they heard about Sprout and the world’s first plantable pencil.
And they decided to give it a try.
After getting their logos and messages engraved on the Sprout pencils, they handed them out at two different but very exciting, global events.
And people loved them. Many new conversations were started with a eco-friendly Sprout pencil in hand.
Below, read more about the two events:
IN PARIS WITH CROWN PRINCESS MARY OF DENMARK
Our customer, VisitDenmark (the official tourism organisation of Denmark) was co-organizing the annual OECD Minister meeting in Paris, 2017.
Denmark was the host country that year, meaning that VisitDenmark had a chance to brand the country to hundreds of journalists, influential people and VIP’s. The main theme was globalization, urban living, happiness, hygge and sustainability.
Right down the alley of what Sprout pencils stand for – and this is why VisitDenmark chose to hand out the plantable Sprout pencils to the guests.
One of the VIP’s was Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. She received an eco-friendly pencil at the “Danish Corner” stand, where the Sprout pencils were displayed, and where the pencils were part of 2.000 goodie bags.
Annalisa Ferraresi, Marketing Manager at VisitDenmark in Italy and France says,
“The reason why VisitDenmark considered the Sprout pencils a good match was because they were an innovative and green solution, very smart and perfect for the thematic focus on sustainability.”
And so, how where the reactions then?
“Very positive. People were asking for more information and seemed very curious about the pencils,” Ferraresi answers.
Sprout takes great pride in being part of branding Denmark in an innovative and eco-friendly way, while also having a chance to start conversations about green solutions mong 2.000 guests.
IN PORTUGAL WITH FORMER PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Taylor’s Port, a leading brand within fortified wine from Portugal was the title sponsor and co-organizer of the Climate Change Leadership Summit in July 2018 in Porto. The objective was to open a debate to discuss the challenges of global climate change.
Taylor’s Port used the eco-friendly Sprout pencil as a giveaway to approximately 2.200 people that attended the conference. One of the keynote speakers was former American president, Barack Obama who created a lot of media attention. We have a feeling that he really liked his Sprout pencil too.
The reason why Taylor’s Port found the Sprout pencils so relevant is because they work committedly on protecting the environment by practicing sustainable viticulture, based on their own vineyard development. So, sustainability matters to them. And an eco-friendly pencil you can plant after use sends the right signal.
Adriana Cardoso, Brand Manager at Taylor’s Port says,“We believe the pencils made a perfect fit with the theme of the conference and gave the audience a fine, fun and interesting reminder of the importance of sustainability. The pencils inspire people to make small changes in their daily life.”
We, at Sprout, could not have said it better. This is the whole point of the Sprout pencil! We are so very happy to inspire and make a difference.
